My name is C.T. Hutt and I am the standard 20 something, D.C. stereotype. I wear a suit and tie, own an impressive rolodex, and am dirt poor. Post College, my “career” has progressed fairly well in a short period of time. I spent a year in Japan teaching English, got some government service under my belt, and now work for a successful consulting firm downtown. I’m what you would call “on track”; if I keep up my tempo I could ride this train to any number of fine, respectable jobs.
Of course, there is a twist. I was recently accepted to the University of Colorado at Boulder MFA program in creative writing. That’s right readers; beneath the austere shell of this budding bureaucrat is a dyed in the wool pen jockey. When I’m not typing up expense reports or researching the latest development in so-and-so’s business model, I’m trying to wring a little inspiration onto a page.
Being such good eggs, the staff at CU boulder not only let me into their program, but let me defer for a year. I’ve got 18 months to build up my chops before picking up my life and catching the next wagon out to the Rockies. Until then I will be posting various short stories, book chapters, and other good stuff right here. Please enjoy and let me know what you think.
Regards,
C.T.

Life is a path that is rarely straight, takes lots of interesting turns, and will surprise and delight you if you let it. Sounds like you are definitely on your way!
